PEPTIPLUS is pure hydrolysed bovine collagen, which is extracted from the carcasses of cattle, which are almost totally made up of collagen. Collagen occurs in a triple helix structure made up of chains of amino acids. Two of these amino acids, Hydroxyproline and Hydroxylysine occur only in collagen and are required by the body to make collagen. Collagen is present in and integral to skin, hair, muscle, tendons, bone, cartilage, ligaments, vascular system and digestive tract.

When collagen is hydrolysed, hydrogen and oxygen molecules are forced into the bonds between certain of these aminos in the chain. This process breaks the amino acid chain down into smaller chains and individual aminos called Peptides.

After processing, the product is spray dried into a fine power to make it suitable for a wide range of applications. PEPTIPLUS mixes easily into any liquids, hot or cold, moist preparations such as drinks, cereals, soups, sauces, baking recipes and into egg and meat dishes.
